Marta Malloy, MS, has 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Like many individuals, Marta too struggled with weight during her college years putting on 50 extra pounds in her late teens and early twenties. A trek with her sister across Eastern Asia provided the initial motivation for Marta to get moving and change her nutrition. Over the course of several years and making a gentle lifestyle change, Marta lost the 50 pounds and has kept it off long term.
As a result of Marta’s personal weight loss experience, she has a passion for helping others reach their goals and overcome obstacles. She is not an extremist when it comes to promoting a healthy lifestyle, but believes education, knowledge and support are the key to long term success. Her training mantra: help clients grow more functional, knowledgeable, motivated and confident. Her mission is to empower her clients with the tools to make health, fitness and wellness a permanent and enjoyable part of their lives.
Marta’s approach to improving clients’ health and wellness is based around full body strength and resistance training. Exercises that involve full body movement, preserve and build muscular strength and endurance, as well as improve cardiovascular fitness, balance and flexibility. “Reving” up a client’s metabolism and increasing their energy levels are a guaranteed and positive side effect of this type of training. Marta helps clients obtain these results through a customized training program, based upon each client’s individual needs and abilities. Marta has the ability to adapt training sessions to challenge the beginner or her most advanced client.
Marta has always believed in the value of exercise, participating in high school and college sports. During the transition years of her life, and through a funny series of events (you’ll have to ask her), Marta became a group fitness instructor certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) in 1996. It was during this time she also started weight training and later became a Certified Personal and Weight Trainer in 2000 and 2001. Marta’s other certifications include:

Marta incorporates the knowledge gained from the different programs and their individual focuses into all customized training sessions. Adding pilates, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises and aerobic exercises into a workout session is guaranteed.
Lastly, Marta is a magazine article contributor and an online video trainer with a prominent industry health and wellness provider. She is a wife and mother of 3, a New Jersey native and a world traveler.
