About Taana Abbitt, LMSW
Taana Abbitt, LMSW received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2001 from Radford University, and has been licensed through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners since 2007. Taana has over 15 years of experience providing behavioral health services at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization levels of care, as well as providing services to children with emotional and behavior disorders in grades K-12. Taana was a primary therapist and the Family Therapy Program Director at Remuda Ranch at the Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona.
Taana has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Taana is often complimented for her warmth, kindness, compassion, and for being down to earth, genuine, and approachable. Taana finds tremendous joy and meaning in helping others to find their voice and navigate their own unique path to recovery. Taana’s goal in working with you is to guide you in creating a loving, supportive relationship with yourself, and to give you the tools to create meaningful and satisfying relationships with others.
Taana is experienced in treating people with the full spectrum of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, emotional eating, etc.), as well as anxiety and mood disorders, self-harm, substance abuse, trauma, and grief. Taana utilizes many therapeutic interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, Art Facilitation, Psychodynamic, and Brief Strategic Family Therapy.
