Keep calm and share feelings.

by

Did you know that feeling anger is our body’s way of protecting our more vulnerable feelings, like hurt and fear?

Next time you’re feeling angry towards someone, ask yourself how their actions may have hurt or scared you, and then challenge yourself to share these tender, raw emotions in a loving, vulnerable way. Expressing these softer emotions to the person will help you have a more meaningful conversation with greater resolution (and the other person will be more likely to respond to you in a calm, respectful way, rather than getting defensive and being angry right back at you).
